Nilavara was born from a simple longing — the longing for food that tastes exactly like home. Founded in the warm lanes of Salmiya, Kuwait, we set out to bring the rich culinary heritage of Kerala and India to the Indian community far from their roots. Every dish we serve carries the essence of a grandmother's kitchen, a mother's secret recipe, and the warmth of a shared meal.

The Nadan Chicken Curry took me straight back to Kerala. It is exactly what my mother would cook. Nilavara is the taste of home for every Malayali in Kuwait.
The Al Faham here is on a different level. We tried all 8 varieties and the Peri Peri was outstanding. Best grilled chicken in Salmiya, hands down.
The Paalappam with Fish Moolie is something else entirely. Soft, lacy appams and the creamiest fish curry. We visit every Friday without fail.
